2017 Telecommunicator of the Year Honorees

Every year, Texas NENA and Texas APCO recognize emergency communications professionals by presenting awards at the annual 9-1-1 awards banquet following the Texas Public Safety conference in April. This year, GHC 9-1-1 is pleased to have several telecommunicators from our territory who were honored with these State awards.

One telecommunicator from GHC 9-1-1 territory was honored with the 2017 Texas NENA Telecommunicator of the Year Award. The other award categories presented to individuals from the GHC 9-1-1 area PSAPs included: Supervisor of the Year, Operations Professional of the Year and Trainer of the Year and Silent Heroes. Also, we were especially pleased that GHC 9-1- 1 Board Chairman Russell Rau was honored with the Laverne Hogan award named after former GHC 9-1-1 Executive Director. Today we would like to recognize each of these individuals for their dedication to emergency communications and public safety:

All of the 2017 Award Recipients were honored at the GHC 9-1-1 Board of Managers meeting on April 26, 2017.
