In Our Thoughts . . .

Jersey Village PD Communications Supervisor Kimberly Maldonado passed away September 14, 2011 following a long term illness. Serving the citizens who needed help as well as protecting her officers and firefighters brought her fulfillment and purpose to her life. Kimberly would have requested that when you see an officer, firefighter or EMS personnel that you take the time to thank them and give them a hug for the sacrifices they make every day.

Kimberly Maldonado

Kimberly Maldonado of Houston, Texas left us Wednesday September 14th, 2011 on her 44th birthday following a long term illness. She is survived by her loving life partner, Mj Hirt, two daughters, Kristy and Jessica Maldonado, one grandson, Tristen Churchill, all of Houston, Texas, her two brothers, Lee Tupper and wife Kathy of Silsbee, Texas, and Christopher Tupper of Houston, Texas along with many nieces and nephews that loved her as much as she loved them. Kimberly's work as a 911 dispatcher began at the Beaumont Police Department, followed by The City of Nassau Bay, with time also spent dispatching at Sugarland Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff's Office finally ending as the Communications Supervisor for the City of Jersey Village. Serving the citizens who needed help as well as protecting her officers and firefighters brought Kimberly fulfillment and purpose to her life. Her joys away from work were simple, family and friends. Nothing more was needed for a smile and a laugh. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and embracing partner, she will be missed by a great many people. A celebration of Kimberly's life will be held at Klein Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17th, 2011 from 10am to 1pm. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Kimberly's name. Kimberly would have also requested that when you see an officer, firefighter or EMS personnel, that you take the time to thank them and give them a hug for the sacrifices they make every day.
