E. out! There is no charge for borrowing the costume, but a few guidelines need to be followed. A short, nine minute instructional video is available to show how to look and act the part of Red. E. Fox, and how to take care of the costume. Good taste, common sense, and concern for the character are expected.

The costume, as with any walk around character, is hot and confining, so be prepared! Have a helper walk with Red E. and an area where the person in the costume can take frequent breaks. Since the costume should only be used to reinforce positive messages about the proper way to use 9-1-1 to save lives and property, Red E. may not appear at commercial occasions without a specific public safety education purpose and can never be used to endorse a commercial product or candidate for public office.
