Telephone Companies

When GHC 9-1-1 was established, GHC 9-1-1 had to interface with six different telephone companies—and that was deemed formidable. With the deregulation of telephone service and the growth of the private switch industry, GHC 9-1-1 maintains relationships with now over 70 telephone companies, and the this number continues to grow.

The incumbent, wireline telephone companies (ILECs) within GHC 9-1-1’s territory are as follows:

Windstream

Consolidated Communications

AT&T
Centurylink

Verizon Telephone

There are numerous competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) and, at times, their number can change weekly.
