FCC CHAIRMAN TO TOUR GREATER HARRIS
COUNTY 9-1-1 ON TUESDAY
Will Meet with Local Officials About Restoration Efforts and Host Media Availability
WASHINGTON, September 4, 2017—Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai will visit Greater Harris County 9-1-1 on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Chairman Pai will take a tour of the facility and meet with local officials to learn more about their response to Hurricane Harvey and their ongoing efforts to restore services in the storm's aftermath. Greater Harris County 9-1-1 is the largest 9-1-1 system in Texas, covering Harris and Fort Bend counties. Following the tour and meeting, Chairman Pai will be available to the media.
